Originally from Manus Island, 22 year-old Johnetta Lili is currently in her final year at the University of Papua New Guinea, where she is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Her dream is to complete work experience in the Australian offices of Price Waterhouse Coopers and Ernst & Young. In the future, she hopes to become a partner at a PNG accounting firm, and she dreams of becoming the youngest female PNG partner.
Johnetta is passionate about business as well as community development. “At 20 years old I managed and helped decrease violence in troubled communities in Port Moresby. I am passionate about changing PNG but I am also passionate about leading dynamic businesses in the future,” Johnetta says of herself. Two people Johnetta admires and would love to meet one day are Robert Kiyosaki and Oprah Winfrey.
When she is not working to change and elevate the world around her, she can be found reading, writing, sketching, doing home projects, cooking, supporting her beloved Fiji Batis, and spending time with her nephews. She can’t wait to see Australia and meet all sorts of different people there.
